Commodore 64 SID Playback support for the N9 and N950
SID Playback support for the integrated media player of the N9 and N950. The package includes support libraries and a plugin for the low-level gstreamer system used in the N9 device that enabled playback of SID music files. It uses the libsidplay library, correct upstream unknown at the moment.
What is SID ?
The MOS Technology 6581/8580 SID (Sound Interface Device) is the built-in Programmable Sound Generator chip of Commodore's CBM-II, Commodore 64, Commodore 128 and Commodore MAX Machine home computers. It was one of the first sound chips of its kind to be included in a home computer prior to the digital sound revolution.
